Maintaining Your Certification
Certified Tree Farmers should should review their management plan annually and make updates as needed to ensure that it reflects current conditions. Be sure to maintain records of your management activities or any natural occurrences that impact your woods. The ATFS Management Plan Addendum is a tool designed to help update your management plan, reflect on your stewardship objectives, assess the current condition and health of your woods and ensure that your management plan meets the 2021 Standards of Sustainability. The N.C. Tree Farm Program requires Certified Tree Farms to be re-inspected and recertified every five years.
