While the forest sector is an economic engine in most of the rural regions, timber production is not the primary reason for owning forestland for the majority of family forest landowners. Forests offer landowners several alternative income opportunities that are often compatible with their primary objectives of owning forestland. This workshop educates natural resource professionals and landowners about forest-based alternative income streams available to their region.
