Students will learn the basic techniques necessary to assemble their own custom fishing rod. Each student will build a 6ft medium action spinning rod from an IM6 blank, which they may keep on completion of the course. Topics covered in this course include:

· Finding the rod spine
· Prepping guides and handles for installation
· Guide spacing
· Basic guide wraps
· Applying epoxy

The course will be limited to 15 students due to space limitations. Preregistration is required. Due to the length and complexity of this program, it is not recommended for youth under the age of 16 years old.
