Start off the year right by getting outside for a First Day Hike! This is an easy one-ile hike through an old growth longleaf pine forest. See the oldest known living longleaf pine in the world and the former state champion longleaf.
Kick off the first day of the year on the right foot with a hike around the Jomeokee Trail. The hike includes a discussion of the park's long history, geology, and local flora and fauna.
Enjoy an easy two-mile hike with a ranger to see the different habitats within the longleaf pine forest. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
